The Howling Hammock

Hugh Taylor Birch State Park announces a Family-filled Halloween adventure, The Howling Hammock! This is a haunting, screaming, terrifying fun time presented on Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23 from 5pm to 9pm at the easily accessed Beach Hammock Trail inside the Park located at 3109 E Sunrise Blvd, in Ft. Lauderdale. This haunted trail is brought to you by the Friends of Birch State Park and Camp Live Oak as well as the staff of Hugh Taylor Birch.
Kids and their Parents will be guided through an adventurous series of stations along the trail filled with spooks and critters and ghouls - most stations convey an environmental theme to their features. Kids are encouraged to dress up and trick or treat through the trail. They can also bring their pumpkins to be carved! We have patterns and tools and folks to help. There will be candies, goodies and games. This event is thought of for kids of all school ages, especially grammar through middle school. There is a $5 suggested donation per child.
