The Friends of Birch State Park, Inc., is a community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to support the preservation and enhancement of the park's cultural natural resources. It provides financial support for park needs not funded by the state. In addition, the "Friends" provides aid to the park by supporting and conducting fundraising activities. They also assist with special events, coordinate park volunteer activities and interpretive exhibits, help to purchase new equipment and supplies, and provide assistance to the park staff in resource management projects.
