Environmental Blessings We invite you to join the Friends of Birch State Park and to help us preserve and improve our local treasure. Make a Planned Gift
Bequest LanguageName the Friends in Your Will The most common planned gift is a gift through a Donor’s will, known as a bequest. Ask your attorney how you, a Donor, can arrange a gift of a specific amount, a percentage, or even all or part of the residual of your estate. The suggested wording for a bequest to the Friends is:
"I give, devise and bequeath to the Friends of Birch State Park, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation, the sum of $________________ for its general purposes." For a bequest of a percentage of the estate: "I give, devise and bequeath to the Friends of Birch State Park, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation, _______ percent of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate for its general purposes." For a contingent bequest: "If any of the above-named beneficiaries should predecease me, I hereby bequeath his or her share to the Friends of Birch State Park, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation, to be used for its general purposes." Gifts through bequests are used by the Friends where need is greatest in the year received. Donors are also welcome to specify a bequest to be applied towards a particular program at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.
