We invite you to join the
Friends of Birch State Park and help us preserve and improve our local treasure. Make a Planned Gift
Bequest LanguageName the Friends in Your Will The most common planned gift is a gift through a Donor’s will, known as a bequest. Ask your attorney how you, a Donor, can arrange a gift of a specific amount, a percentage, or even all or part of the residual of your estate. The suggested gift language for a bequest to the Friends is:
"I give, devise and bequeath to the Friends of Birch State Park, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation, the sum of $________________ for its general purposes." For a bequest of a percentage of the estate: "I give, devise and bequeath to the Friends of Birch State Park, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation, _______ percent of the rest, residue and remainder of my estate for its general purposes." For a contingent bequest: "If any of the above-named beneficiaries should predecease me, I hereby bequeath his or her share to the Friends of Birch State Park, Inc., a Florida not-for-profit corporation, to be used for its general purposes." Gifts through bequests are used by the Friends where need is greatest in a given year. Donors are also welcome to specify a bequest to be applied towards a particular program at Hugh Taylor Birch State Park.
